What you can request
- Confirmation of whether we hold personal information about you, and access to it.
- Correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Deletion or destruction of information where the legal requirements are met.
- An objection to processing, including direct marketing, or withdrawal of consent where processing relies on consent.
- Help with a privacy concern or an explanation of how your information is used.
What to include
Give your name, preferred reply address, the type of request and enough detail to identify the relevant records. An account email or quote, order or invoice reference can help. A company name or telephone number is optional unless needed to identify the records. If acting for another person or organisation, explain your authority.
Do not include card details, passwords, PINs or unnecessary identity documents. We will contact you if proportionate identity verification or evidence of authority is needed. The information you provide will be used to handle and record your request, not to sign you up for marketing.
What happens next
We assess the request under POPIA and, where relevant, the Promotion of Access to Information Act (PAIA). We may ask you to clarify the records or request before responding. We will explain the outcome, any lawful reason information cannot be supplied or deleted, and any applicable next steps. Any permitted fee or extension will be explained before it is applied.
Requests are handled within the time required by the applicable law. Certain records must be retained for legal or accounting reasons, and access may need to protect another person’s information. These limitations are assessed for your specific request.
Official forms and complaints
The Information Regulator provides POPIA forms, including Form 1 for an objection and Form 2 for correction or deletion. For a formal access-to-records request, see the PAIA guidance and prescribed forms. Contact us if you need help identifying the appropriate route.
If you are dissatisfied or believe your rights have been infringed, you may approach the Information Regulator’s complaints service directly. Read our Privacy Policy for more about Izipho’s handling of personal information.
